Industrial apartheid - Gore's goal

DIE HARD III

Every ten seconds, on international cable news broadcasts a crawler comes out at the screen’s bottom, announcing Al Gore and the IPCC’s award of the Nobel Prize for Peace. Each channel comes out with its own special report on the on going horrors of climate change or global warming. Torrents of print media reports have been coming out on it, pounding and pounding the global public on the subject. It repeats the message: global warming and climate change is man’s fault, by his carbon emissions produced by his modern, industrial activities. Scant review is made on mainstream media about the monumental and politicized flaws in Gore and the IPCC’s presentations.

We will go to those flaws pointed out by thousands of scientists all over the world that get scant space in media. We will fast forward to their intended outcome in the years to come: widespread “debt for nature” swaps transferring tens of millions of hectares of lands from poor, developing countries and rich Western oligarchs and corporations; major reductions in international loans for industrial and infrastructure purposes (such as building highways through new, pristine lands); certainly, no loans for nuclear power plants (the only hope of energy self-sufficiency fifty years from now); more calls for population control for "sustainable" economics.

There’s more: reduction of industrial activity and unemployment to hit developing nations more heavily with so-called CO2 reduction tax credit rich economies can buy to keep competition from emerging economies out (and what politicians wouldn’t want to earn something on the side in legislating this into law?); "sustainable agriculture," with "low-input" methods of little or no fertilizer, pesticides, irrigation, and plowing; eventually, enforcement of “only green energy” such as solar (which cost today P25,000.00 capital investment to light one 25 bulb), with high cost of maintenance of batteries and power converter); and low conversion wind power, etc.

We’re already paying a very heavy social price for foolish “environmental” policies enacted into law, like recurring garbage crises caused by the Clean Air Act that banned municipal garbage incinerators that cleanest countries like Japan use 2,500 units of, and Singapore which has several; banning CFC in cooling equipment costs Filipino car owners thousands to retool; developing countries’ products would eventually be tagged as “environmentally unacceptable” for not complying with “eco-standards”. Like “nuclear apartheid” that Iran protests it is being made a victim of by the West, Gore’s campaign will lead to discrimination and denial of industrialization to developing nations.

Teaching Gore’s hype reached the Philippines in schools before it became an issue in England, thousands of copies of Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” (conveniently handed the Oscar) is distributed to Philippine public schools by the local environmentalism industry (big money). In Britain the issue of showing it in schools was brought by a citizen to the high court and Mr. Justice Baron found serious alarmist errors and exaggerations: “that melting snows on Mount Kilimanjaro is evidence, the Government's expert was forced to concede that this is not correct; that ice cores proves rising CO2 causes temperature increases, in fact rises in CO2 lagged behind temperature rises by 800-2000 years.

That Hurricane Katrina was caused by global warming; the Government's expert had to accept that a one-off event could not be attributed to global warming. That Lake Chad is drying due to global warming; this was not true. That polar bears had drowned due to disappearing arctic ice, it turned out they drowned due to a particularly violent storm. That global warming could stop the Gulf Stream throwing Europe into an ice age, it was shown this was a scientific impossibility. That the Antarctic ice covering is melting, the evidence is that in fact it is increasing. That sea level could rise by 7meters and displace millions; in fact sea levels are expected to rise by about only 40cm the next hundred years. That rising sea levels has caused evacuation of certain Pacific islands to New Zealand, this was a false claim.

There are more from other scientists who are not given space to show the whole truth. The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) in the highly politicized UN has an longer list of transgressions, but one particular item that shows how misdirected it is – its recommendation to increase bio-fuels, i.e. fuels from plant sources, Bush has been pushing. Environmental scientist protested this: bio-fuel production really causes CO2 increase due to burning of forest to plant them, fertilizers use, milling and processing, etc. But this is Gore’s ticket to the presidency, as promised to him for giving way to Bush’s cheating that opened the way to the “War on Terror” – the heck with truth and balance.

Al Gore’s gravest sin is failing to balance the points: the role of fossil fuels in alleviating hunger and poverty, extending human life spans, and democratizing consumer goods, literacy, leisure; environmental, health, and economic benefits of climatic warmth and the ongoing rise in the air's CO2 content (the Medieval Warm Period in Europe boosted agriculture), that aggregate mortality and mortality rates due to extreme weather events declined dramatically during the 20th century. Al Gore’s campaign is the new “No Nuke is Good News” or anti-Nuke campaign of the 70’s and 80’s which cause the Philippine to mothball its nuclear power plant to its tremendous loss.
